Andrea Elson

Andrea Hope Elson was an American actress. Beginning her professional career as a child actor and model, Elson is perhaps best known for her TV roles as Alice Tyler on the CBS science fiction series . Andrea was a candidate for the lead role in ALF, the 1986 hit show. She was a finalist. Andrea continued working throughout her career on popular TV shows as well as Movies of the Week before taking a break from the entertainment industry to concentrate on her family. ALF came during a particularly difficult period in the life of Andrea Elson, who played Lynn Tanner, the teenage daughter of Kate and Willie. People magazine published an account of Elson's career in the year 2000. She said that being a teenager who was in the limelight wasn't easy. Born on March 6, 1969 in New York City, this green-eyed actress grew up traveling as a result of her father's position in the field of advertising. By the time she was 10 years old, Andrea had already been traveling to New York Chicago San Diego Los Angeles. Andrea had her first successful performance in San Diego after she got an agent. Fusco was in favor of the idea, and said that "ALF is at 285 years old and is able to drink beer because he's old enough. But as ALF became more popular with youngsters, NBC informed Fusco it was not appropriate to have him drinking while the children watch because it's not a good role model. Fusco, who believed ALF was mature enough to drive drunk, was mistaken. In 1995, he was found to be suffering from cancerous lymphoma. This cancer was treated successfully and he remained in full recovery for the remainder of his life. The cancer was fatal on 26 June 2019, when he had been 75 years old at the Lillian Booth Actors Home, Englewood NJ.
