Zoe Saldana's parents Asalia and Aridio Saldana were born on the 19th June, 1978, in Passaic New Jersey. Her mother and father have both been Puerto Ricans. Her mother raised her mother who lived in Queens. The family she was raised with moved from Queens in New York and to the Dominican Republic when she was 10-years-old; they stayed in the Dominican Republic for 7 years. Zoe began to develop a fascination for dancing while in Dominican Republic. Her first training was with the ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy and was there to learn dance and various forms of dancing. Training was not only an excellent way to exercise this enthusiastic youngster but was also an excellent training for her future acting career. Zoe's parents moved back to United States when Zoe was 17 years old. Her love for dancing and a desire to be on stage developed. Zoe not only has held her own but also gained respect from the likes of Steven Spielberg, Jerry Bruckheimer, Keira, Knightley, Ashton Kutcher and Orlando Bloom. The majority of Zoe's co-stars as well as producers feel that sky's not her only limit. She has a wide range of talents, extreme concentration and an unwavering determination to tackle projects that have different characters and subjects. The next step is that Deutch will re-team with the writer Katie Silberman for their second romantic comedy, Most Dangerous Game. Deutch as well as Silberman collaborated previously in Netflix's hit show Set It Up.
