
Suzanne Pleshette, born January 31, 1937, passed away on the 19th of January, 2008 in the USA. She was an American film TV, theatre and voice actress. Pleshette began her career in theatre, and was a part of films in the late 1950s. Later, she appeared in films that were notable, such as Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), or Spirited Away (192001). She also appeared in numerous TV productions, mostly as guest actors, and played Emily Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 until 1978. She received a number of Emmy Award nominations for her work. Pleshette was born on January 31, 1937, in the New York City neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights, to Geraldine (nee Kaplan)[1] and Eugene Pleshette. Her parents were Jewish immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary. Her mother was an artist, dancer and choreographer, who worked under the stage name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was stage manager for the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, as well as the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
